THERE was outrage Sunday over the hitches affecting the voter registration.



The second day of the nationwide exercise, witnessed a high turnout but malfunctioning Direct Data Capture (DDC) machines affected it.

The registration started early in most of the places monitored in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital Sunday, but long queues were observed. Elderly people who could not stand for long returned home.

Low batteries of the DDC machines and the malfunctioning thumbprint scanners were part of the challenges that confronted the registration officers.
