Internet which is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies has played a very important role in human history. Giving everyone who can be able to access it a chance to express what he feels, communicate and learn what is going on across the globe.

Apparently, some people who have the privilege to own a computer can't make enough use of it because their internet is slow even though their broadband internet connection is enough for whatever they would do.
Some of the reasons are unseen and here are just few but important tips to boost your internet speed.

  • Use Antivirus: Antivirus software protects the computers against virus attacks and with proper antivirus software one can detect harmful programs running on the background. This will make sure that your computer's performance is not derailed by other processes that are harmful.

  • Uninstalling unused application : There are many applications running on one's computer some of which are not used or not actually needed. One might not know this but it is important to check the processes that are running and remove the applications that you don't need or don't use at all. Some of these programs are installed without the knowledge of the computer user as they are installed along side other programs.  Amongst them the programs, some run and connects to the internet taking a huge percentage of broadband.

  • Stop startup programs: the performance speed of your computer is delayed if you have programs that start your computer and atimes shut them down. Inorder to ensure this doesn't happen stop such programs from taking advantage of your computer's speed and performance in general.

  • Clean up your hard disk: Your computer gets slower with every new program and file installed on it. This is because the space reduces each time a new file is stored on it. And your broadband internet requires that your computer be in good shape and health for it to run well. This not in place, your broadband will only try hard to perform like a narrowband.

Go to 'My Documents', remove all the old files that are littering up your hard disk and are only eating up the precious space that could perform other better tasks on your computer. Note, also empty the recycle bin because every file in it remains on your computer's hard disk and it makes no difference leaving it like that. After doing this, your computer will taste a little improvement and your broadband internet will work better.

Try this and enjoy your full internet bandwidth.
