Job Description:

•   Reporting directly to the Regional Lead for Technology Sourcing for Africa/ Europe/ Americas and reporting locally to the Sourcing Country Head, this role will lead the technology sourcing requirements for Nigeria. The Technology Category includes all of Telecoms, Networks, Hardware, Business Application, Enterprise Applications and Market Data.

•   The Technology Category Manager will drive strategic sourcing via demand and supply side initiatives and bring project management, commercial and technical skills to all sourcing events. This role will also be instrumental in support of Technology sourcing activities pan Africa.

•   Global Sourcing is a global team with functional reporting lines, centralized from Singapore.

•   The Global Sourcing mission is to drive sustainable commercial advantages from third party suppliers through structured, risk aware, timely and transparent procurement processes, applied consistently across SCB.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

•   Defines and delivers the strategy for the sub-Category addressing: Cost Reduction, supplier financial risk, Demand management & category innovation.

•   Provides input into Global Sourcing strategy

•   Leads decision making process, guiding businesses to reach a conclusion.

•   Influences key stakeholders to drive incremental spend influence, priorities and business decisions on their expenditure and deals.

•   Provides specialist category or sub-category advice and act as point of escalation.

•   Ensures the application of group policies, processes and best operating practices.

•   Identifies and mitigates risks that would impact the overall project success/failure.

•   Ensures projects are prioritized and delivered against agreed timelines.

•   Defines project approach and strategy for their sub-Category from a sourcing perspective.

•   Provides cost efficiencies by delivering sustainable commercial advantages to the business

•   Provides inputs into contractual disputes

•   Advices and influences business procurement decisions including reporting on client sensitivities.

Qualifications & Skills:

•   Excellent skills required in the following:

•   Project Management

•   MS Excel, PowerPoint

•   Strategic Sourcing, specific experience in Technology Sourcing

•   Vendor Management

•   Technology & Operations
