The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities offer Cultural Engagement Partnership Fellowship Scheme for to support early career researchers in UK. Upto five Cultural Engagement Fellowships will be awarded in 2013 and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF). This Fellowship is available for pursuing research degree level.  Up to five Fellowships will be awarded for a maximum period of three months. The application deadline is 16th January 2013.

Study Subject(s): Fellowships are available for early career researchers in the fields of the arts and humanities. These are to establish or consolidate, research partnerships with cultural or civic organizations

Eligibility: -Cultural Engagement Fellowships are available for early career researchers in the fields of  the arts and humanities that meet the normal AHRC criteria.

-To qualify for early career status, applicants must be within eight years of the award of their doctorate or six years of their first permanent academic appointment. Postgraduate students are not eligible to apply, however, Oxford postgraduate students who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting examination are eligible.

-Applicants from outside the University of Oxford are welcome to apply. All applicants will need to demonstrate that they have support from an Oxford college, faculty or department, an academic mentor at Oxford and an external cultural partner.

-Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Scholarship Open for International Students: UK students can apply for this scholarship. Oxford postgraduate students who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting examination are eligible.Applicants from outside the University of Oxford are welcome to apply.

Scholarship Description: The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities seeks to stimulate and support research activity that engages with non-academic partners. To this end, the Centre invites applications from early career researchers for fellowships of up to three months to establish, or consolidate, research partnerships with cultural or civic organizations. The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) has introduced this pilot project with additional funding provided by Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF).

Number of award(s):  Up to five Fellowships will be awarded.

Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for a maximum period of three months.

What does it cover? The award is intended to provide three months of salary for the Fellow, at the Division's standard level for postdoctoral researchers – grade 7 (£29,249 pro rata).In addition, up to £3000 per project is available to cover project costs and resources involved with undertaking the project

Selection criteria:- Assessment of the applications will focus on the quality of the proposed project, the potential for the project to develop a productive partnership with the named organization and the fit of the proposal with the applicant's research profile and career development plan.

-A Selection panel made up of senior researchers will makes the final decisions. The application will be treated as confidential at all times.

Notification: -Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 28th January 2013. Results will be issued by email.
