Kebbi LG obtains 3 cassava processing machines

The Kalgo Local Government Area in Kebbi state says it has bought three cassava processing machines worth N6m to promote commercial production of the crop among farmers.

Alhaji Abubakar Kuka, the council chairman, said Thursday that each of the machines had the capacity to process 25 tonnes of cassava daily.

He said that the council had earmarked 2,500 hectares of cultivable land for pilot commercial cassava production. (39)
