Job Title: Technical Manager

Company: an Oil and Gas Company

Responsibilities:

•   Report to the Operations Manager on the status of fleet on a daily basis and report vessel status during weekly operations meeting.

•   Support the technical aspects of assigned fleet.

•   Deal with daily communication to assigned fleet and various vendors, being the first point of contact between the vessel and shore for technical matters.

•   Attend third party/client inspections where required.

•   Monitor third party inspection observations to ensure they are closed out effectively.

•   Ensure all defects are recorded, tracked and rectified effectively.

Qualification:

•   A first degree in engineering or marine equivalent.

•   Have 10 years experience in the marine/shipping sector with the last 5 years spent at a management level in their last place of employment performing similar functions.

•   Ideal candidate must have proven and extensive years of experience in marine and offshore supply vessel market.

•   He/she must possess all the necessary skills to handle all aspects of the mechanics of engines (electrical and mechanical) of vessel.
