Job Description:

Progressive Global Energy is currently seeking an experienced Geophysicist to join a successful Independent Exploration and Production organisation inLagos,Nigeria.

As the Senior Geophysicist, you will be working within the Asset Development team, reporting directly to the Exploration Manager and will be mainly focused on conducting detailed interpretational studies to support all operated, non-operated and new venture activities as required.

In addition to this you will also be involved in: – providing geophysical expertise in a variety of exploration projects – planning and execution of seismic survey, 2D, 3D acquisition that will include survey design, QC and reporting – planning and execution of seismic processing, reprocessing, including tendering and contracting – providing input to exploration, drilling and commercial evaluations .

We are very keen to identify driven professionals who are keen to be part of an already successful story, and take it to the next step and with this in mind, in addition to an excellent attitude and communication skills we are also looking for the following: – 8+ years of experience within Geophysics, majority of which must have been spent working with an Exploration and Production organisation – Strong geophysical skills across: Seismic Acquisition, Data Processing and Seismic Interpretation – Proficient in the employment of geophysical tools such as: AVO modelling, velocity, amplitude, etc.)

Please note that this is a role aimed at Nigerian professionals, given the current Local Content requirements, as such we will not be able to consider any expatriate professionals on this occasion.
