ABCB was established by Australian Federal, State and Territory Governments. It's mission is to address issues relating to health, safety, amenity and sustainability by providing efficiency in the design, construction and performance of building through the BCA and development of effective regulatory systems.

The Scholarship has been established to encourage undergraduate and postgraduate research in building regulatory reform in Australia. It is available for study into areas relating to the ABCB's work program. Can be used for full-time, part-time or external study. Research must form a component of a program at an Australian educational institution (eg research project, thesis, dissertation).

Selection based on submission of a research proposal outlining the research objective, hypothesis and research method. Applicants must submit Application Form, resume and academic transcript to date.

This scholarship is offered on an ongoing basis to an unspecified number of people. Dates when to submit scholarship application are not specified.

The value of this scholarship is AUD5000 (maximum per award). This award is to be used for research. This scholarship is paid as a one off for the period of 1 year.
