Job Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Head, Information Technology will be responsible for analyzing, reviewing, recommending and building strategic and tactical changes to internet properties that drive business profitability by increasing visitors, improving conversion rates, capturing larger average order sizes and managing margin performance.

Brief Duties

•   Managing and directing website technical structure, design & aesthetics, content, navigation, Information Architecture, Branding/Marketing, Performance, and Functionality efforts to positively impact e-commerce efforts

•   Drive the planning and execution of all IT strategies, policies, initiatives, and actions that leverage technology resources organisation wide and align performance delivery with the business plan

•   Leverage resources within IT and the company at large to maximize results.

•   Ownership and management of Customer Experience including Design & Aesthetics, Content, Navigation, Information Architecture, Branding/Marketing, Performance, Functionality

•   Ownership and management of Internet marketing including social media integration

•   Ownership and management of Technical Infrastructure

•   Ownership and management of SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies

•   Direct and manage internal and external teams

•   Provide SEO/SEM/PPC and Internet Marketing thought leadership, innovation and process improvement initiatives

•   Forge professional and productive relationships with key operational partners.

•   Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with organizational leaders in order to address issues that will support business goals.

•   Perform other duties to be assigned by the CEO

Desired Skills & Experience:

•   Bachelors Degree in IT or any relevant technical field

•   Masters degree and/or IT certification is preferred.

•   5 – 7 years experience managing an e-commerce website or retail based experience

•   Advanced ability to respond quickly to new opportunities demands and challenges by mobilizing and engaging the organization effectively and efficiently.

•   Advanced and thorough knowledge of key Information Technology functions and processes, clients, organizational culture, design, development and effectiveness as well as business objectives and strategies

•   Experience with web analytics tools, Content Management System and an understanding of the impact they have on SEO

•   Ability to perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis to identify growth/optimization opportunities
