Beckham to be fit by mid February

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he expects new signing David Beckham to attain full fitness by mid February so as to make his debut for the French side.

PSG face Bastia on Friday evening but, although the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man has completed his free transfer to the French club, he will not be named in the side for the Ligue 1 clash and has yet to train with the squad.

However, the Parc des Princes head coach hinted that a debut against Valencia (Tuesday, February 12) in the Champions League is possible, though admitted it was more likely that Beckham will play his first PSG game against Sochaux (Sunday, February 17).
