Job Title: Programme Producer

General Purpose:

•   The primary role of a television producer is to oversee all aspects of program assigned, ranging from program idea development and cast, to shoot supervision and fact checking.

•   He/she participates in activities such as script writing, set designing and even directing.

•   It is often the producer who is responsible for the television program's quality and survivability.

Main Duties:

•   Outlines programs to be produced and evaluates finished script.

•   Composes or edits program scripts to meet management and other requirements.

•   Coordinates various aspects of production, such as audio work, music, camera work and script writing.

•   Reviews production to ensure objectives are attained.

•   Views taped programs to select scenes to be used.

•    Listens to audio tape recording to verify program script or sound effects conform to broadcast standards.

•   May oversee montage, set, costumes, props, music or other equipment or personnel to complete production.

•   May coordinate production detail to produce live television programs from distant locations from the station.

•   Decide on and invite guests who appear on the program.

•   Ensure program quality.

Education:

•   Degree in Mass Communication or other related field with 3 – 5 years experience.

Employment is subject to passing the pre-employment screening and medicals.
