The National HIV/AIDS Call Center (NHCC) was recently established by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) to provide HIV/AIDS and Other health related information to individuals through toll-free mobile telephone lines. The project has three interrelated objectives: (1) to increase access to HIV/AIDS information through the use of mobile telephone technologies; (2) create demand for the utilization of the National Call Center, and (3) build local capacity to manage the National Call Center The project is managed out of a central office in Abuja, FCT.

HOPE worldwide Nigeria (HWWN), an NGO with a focus on HIV/AIDS, Prevention, Care & Support, is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position in the National HIV/AIDS Call Center (NHCC) in Nigeria. The project is for 3 years duration and with the location in Abuja, FCT.

Qualification:

•   A minimum of a Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Social Work, Guidance Counseling and other related fields is required.

Job Expectations:

•   The Project Director would be responsible for the overall program strategic direction and management, and representation of the project.

•   The proposed Project Director should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal qualities and should have extensive experience in behavior change and HIV prevention Programming.

•   S/he should have at least 10 years of experience providing strategic leadership and management for projects of similar size and scope; with demonstrable ability to work with partners including host country government officials as well as other donors and stakeholders.

•   The Project Director should have solid track record in implementing a similar call center or large HIV and AIDS information and behavior change communication project.

•   S/he should have requisite technical knowledge and experience working in HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB and other infectious diseases, as well as maternal and child health programs in Nigeria and/or other developing countries.

•   S/he should have relevant academic training.
