Job Description:

Maximize short and long term shareholder value by creating and implementing both a 3-year strategic plan and an annual operating plan that will enable the business to exceed all financial and non-financial goals. In addition, this is a key leadership role driving the Transaction Banking and wider WB agenda in-country. The role will be responsible for the Cash Management, Trade Finance and Securities Services aspects of the Transaction Bank

Key Roles & Responsibilities: – Individual must develop and execute the operating plan that meets the countries financial goals and takes into account the implications of transaction banking business actions that includes sales, operations, risk and people. – This position will have a material impact on the country balance sheet management through the generation and management of assets and liabilities, the pricing of each, and the developing capital efficient structures. – Develop and implement a 3-year strategic plan which includes revenue pools, related economic revenue, competitor's analysis, client segments, and product development. – Drive product leadership through people, innovation. – Obtain investment by identifying opportunities and developing the business case. – Contribute to our capability to respond to complex deals. – Enhance brand value and thought leadership via authoring articles, speaking engagements, media and roundtable events. – Engage and influence to ensure alignment of key internal stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications & Skills: – Past experience managing a team, balance sheets and a P&L. – Experience in managing through influence in a large organization. – Deep knowledge of cash management and trade finance. – Knowledge of securities services will be an added advantage. – Past involvement with industry bodies a plus, (i.e. Swift). – Minimum 10 years of working experience, with preferably 5 years in international financial services. – Track record of innovation and strategic thinking.

In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
