The Director, Department of Physical and Life Sciences have been appointed as the representative of the Ministry on the Federal Technical Committee (FTC) of the Nigeria Erosion Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP). The Committee was inaugurated on the 31st January, 2013 and mandated to coordinate the implementation of activities to control erosion menace in the South Eastern States of Nigeria.
