Job Title: Senior Engineer, Civil Operational Support

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Organisation: Etisalat Nigeria

Job Summary: Assist the Manager-Civil Construction in planning and co-ordinating Etisalat Nigeria's administrative civil engineering projects.

Principal Functions:

•   Keep abreast of global and local best practices with regards to construction activities for offices and other business premises

•   Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

•   Prepare architectural drawings, furniture layouts and BOQs for all civil engineering projects under Operational Support

•   Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, reviewing and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities

•   Participate in the review of technical bids from civil engineering contractors and make recommendations on selection

•   Ensure prompt resolution of all on-site issues

•   Ensure construction activities are in accordance with Etisalat Nigeria?s Health and Safety policies

•   Implement the function?s work programmes and plans in line with agreed procedures and guidelines

•   Prepare/ compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Manager-Civil Construction

Educational Requirements:

•   First degree in Civil Engineering

•   Postgraduate qualification/ professional certifications will provide an added advantage

Experience, Skills & Competencies: Between three (3) and five (5) years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience in construction project management
