Job Description:

The East Africa Marketing Manger is responsible of implementing PepsiCo's overall marketing programs in East African markets by aligning Franchise Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Marketing Strategy and Execution.

2. Develop & coordinate the deployment of marketing initiatives, according to Marketing Calendar, from strategic discussion & development, all the way to communicating it to sales force (Thematic campaigns, grassroots, promotions).

3. Coordinate the development of work by local advertising & promotional agencies, as well as adaptation of PepsiCo's Global and Business Unit Regional initiatives.

4. Recommend and adapt marketing best practices from PepsiCo's Global and Business Unit Regional initiatives.

5. Recommend and coordinate the execution of market research. Build research processes systems & protocols.

6. Trade and Channel Development.

7. Co-develop, in consultation with Franchise Manager, trade promotional programs & P-O-S support.

8. Recommend & support the development of local packaging innovation.

9. Support Business Unit team in providing local insights for long term innovations.

10. Authorize and track spending within approved budget.

11. Lead local analysis of all KPI's and recommends action to improve it.

12. Lead evaluation of marketing execution effectiveness, identify and address opportunities for improvement and share learnings with the function / bottler.

13. Anticipate bottler marketing needs and issues and take initiative to resolve before they impact operating results.

14. Evaluate advertising, positioning and platform effectiveness for all brands and feedback into the advertising development process.

1. 7 years + marketing experience.

2. Brand Management Experience

3. Media management, Advertising Development, Promotional Development & execution.

4. Understanding of consumer insights

5. Research development & execution.

6. Experience of working in an operating organization.

7. Strong Multi-tasking skill set.
