Injury cancels out Kenya midfielder

Harambee Stars and Coastal Union midfielder Jerry Santo has been ruled out of the March 23 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Kenya and Nigeria.

The 24- year old sustained an injury in a Vodacom Premier League clash against Ruvu Shooting in a game that ended in a goalless draw at their home ground Mkwakwani Stadium at the weekend.

He will be out for six weeks, meaning that he will not be in action when the Super Eagles host the Harambee Stars in Calabar.

Santo who is also an influential skipper for the Tanga- based outfit has so far netted five goals for the team.

He will also miss Coastal Union's league clash against Simba next Sunday.

Both teams are on 31 points on the Vodacom Premier League standings- taking third and fourth place respectively.
