Watford failed to take the opportunity to close the gap on Championship leaders Cardiff to two points, falling to a 2-1 defeat at home as Cristian Battachio put the Hornets into a first-half lead but late goals from Thomas Ince and Gary MacKenzie gave Blackpool a valuable victory in their survival battle.
