Job Description: We have a vacancy for a Project Manager to lead the transition phase of a Route to Market Programme at our multinational FMCG Client. The initial engagement based in Lagos, Nigeria will be for 3 months and could be on a part time or full time basis.

Role and Task Summary: Leading a Client team, the Project Manager will be responsible for project delivery.

Key tasks will include:

• Transition Plan development.

• Feasibility & Capability of business units and identified distributor partners.

• Cost Benefit analysis and business case development.

• Stakeholder engagement with senior client management.

• Project Management

Desired Skills & Experience:

The Project Manager will have successfully undertaken similar projects either as a consultant or in an operational role in the past and be experienced working in an African or similar environment. He or she will be used to 'getting things done' when sometimes things conspire against a successful outcome especially in a distribution environment.

We are looking for the following skills & experience:

• Proven track record on similar assignments. i.e. Commercial and Route to Market expert knowledge, especially traditional distribution trade in emerging markets. This is the key requirement.

• Africa & Emerging Markets – work experience in similar environments essential.

• FMCG commercial experience or knowledge essential.

• Proven project management experience essential.

• Gravitas – highly developed influencing, interpersonal and communication skills are required – there is a   team and project to be led.

• Knowledge transfer skills –desirable especially in similar environments.

Other relevant competencies:

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills

• PC skills including MS Office are essential

• Getting things done in difficult environments – absolutely essentia
