Job Title: Director of Research (Medical Microbiology)  – CONMESS 07 STEP 1/CONHESS 15 STEP 1

The Nigerian Institute of Medical Research Yaba-Lagos is a parastalal of the Federal Ministry of Health.

Salary Scale: (N4,233, 344.00xN113, 207.00) per annum

Qualification and Experience

•   The candidate must possess a Ph.D in Medical Microbiology or an MBBS degree plus a registrable Post-Graduate Fellowship of the National or West African Post-Graduate Medical Colleges or its equivalent in Parasitology.

•   The candidate must have put in not less than four years as a Deputy-Director Research or its equivalent with Research/Academic Establishment.

•   An MPH degree is an added advantage.

•   There should be evidence of continued productivity and distinguished contribution to knowledge through research with at least thirty (30) publications in peer reviewed journals. Evidence of Administrative experience, competencies in computer application and ability /evidence of winning research grants ability will also be an added advantage.
