Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, Musa Amadu is confident that the Flying Eagles are ready to defend the Africa U-20 Youth Championship title they won in 2011.
.
John Obuh and his team will today, March 13, arrive Algeria for the Championship which will produce Africa's four representatives for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
.
Amadu believes the Nigerian team have a good team and backed by good preparations in Egypt and Tunisia.
.
"The Flying Eagles have been preparing for the AYC and hopefully, the trips to Egypt and Tunisia where they played a couple of friendlies would have the desired impact," Amadu enthuses."They played against the U-20 sides of these countries and big clubs there as well.
.
"The team have a core of players that were in the previous edition. So, they have great understanding and I expect that they will deliver.
.
"Motivation for the team basically will come from the success of the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. I cannot say for now what awaits them if they defend the title they won two years ago,"Amadu states.
.
John Obuh's boys will play in Group B of the Africa U-20 Youth Championship, alongside Mali, DR Congo and Gabon.
