Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc offers spouses visual arts scholarship in USA. Ten scholarships are provided to study visual arts and includes architecture, ceramics, drawing, fashion, graphic design, illustration, interior design, painting, photography, sketching, video production and other decorative arts. The scholarship covers award of up to $3,000 each. Students must be preparing to pursue an undergraduate degree full-time or be a current full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university. Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and Exhibit leadership ability and participate in community service activities. Submit completed online application by May 2, 2013.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship, applicants must: -Be preparing to pursue an undergraduate degree full-time or be a current full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university. -Be planning to pursue a degree in a field that will lead to a career in the visual arts. -Have a minimum 2.5 GPA -Exhibit leadership ability and participate in community service activities.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is online. 1. A completed online application form 2. A personal statement essay from the student (500-1,000 words) that addresses all four (4) of the topics listed on the application in one cohesive essay 3. Two (2) letters of recommendation. One recommendation should come from a community or public service leader (i.e. church leader, community leader, volunteer organization). Recommender information (name and email address) is to be entered into the online application as requested. Please follow the instructions found in the application. Hard copy letters sent to the organization as well as letters sent to the scholarship email address will not be accepted. 4. An electronic copy of detailed Federal Student Aid Report (SAR); this report comes from the US Department of Education, not your institution. It is typically between 5 or 6 pages long. This should be uploaded to the online application as a PDF document. 5. A one (1) page resume listing extracurricular activities, honors, employment, community service and special skills 6. A recent photograph suitable for publication; i.e., a cap and gown picture, or other professional quality and professionally dressed photograph 7. Five (5) original pieces of artwork from the art genre for which are you applying (AN ART SAMPLE MUST BE PROVIDED TO BE ELIGIBLE) 1. Each sample file should be named with the title, dimension, and media of the original piece (e.g. the road – 3ft x 2ft – oil on canvas). 2. Video production applicants should submit one 2 minute sample. Anything beyond will not be reviewed.

Scholarship Application Deadline: The completed online USA undergraduate scholarship application must be submitted by close of business (5 p.m. EST) on May 2, 2013.
