Job Title: Turn Around Coordinator

Location: All Aero Locations

Purpose Statement: To manage the turnaround process, ensure safe, secure and punctual departures of flights as well as taking into account the business overviews of ensuring safety first, maximising revenue and achieving the best customer service outcome within policy guidelines.

Key Accountabilities: – Acts as the focal point for all staff associated with the aircraft arrival and departure, providing guidance and advising and resolving issues which may impact on safety, punctuality and customer services.  – Perform all aircraft weight and balance and documentation activities for proper loading and according to company policies and procedures.  – Ensure the provision of an accurate and punctual service and ensuring turnaround time that activities conform to legal and safety requirements as outlined by regulatory bodies, aircraft manufacturers ,airline weight and balance manuals etc  – Review existing operational practices, systems and procedures to create work/process efficiencies and source opportunities to maximise aircraft space utilisation and fuel uptake in order to exploit maximum revenue capacity and performance capability per aircraft.  – Coordinate the receipt, record and onward communication of relevant information from various stakeholders including outstations required for the preparation of weight and balance documentation (loading instruction report, load sheet and trim sheet) for an aircraft.  – Responsible for managing all aspects of fuelling of the aircraft.  – Ensure quality of aviation fuel delivered is in support of the company's operations and safety standards  – Responsible for flight monitoring, weather monitoring, Ground communication coordination, and information dissemination  – Maintain radio contact with Aircrafts from commencement to termination of flight  – Report any incident that could mar the smooth operation of an aircraft in-flight to the appropriate quarters for prompt action.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

•   This position requires a graduate with a Degree/HND or any related discipline relevant to aviation with at least 3 years airport/ ramp experience with relevant certifications.

•   Knowledge of load control, ramp handling and dangerous goods, Understanding of passenger and cargo handling.

•   Knowledge of computerized departure control systems.

•   Ability to prepare load sheet manually and with the use of systems.

•   Ability to take quick and well informed decisions.
