Kogi State - Kogi PDP Primaries Update: Omala Dumps Aminu Atabo, Picks Hon Labran Agbaka as Candidate

The immediate past Liaison Officer 1 (LO) of Omala Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Atabo was not as lucky as his fellow LOs has Omala delegates settled for Hon Labran Agbaka as the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming Local Government Elections in Kogi State.

It will be recalled that youths and leaders from Omala have been at cross-roads with Atabo while he was serving as Liaison Officer 1 in the council.

In the heat of the crisis, Atabo allegedly mobilized military men to subdue the rampaging and uncompromising youth on Omala.

The last straw was the unfortunate incidence of crisis that led to Atabo's arrest alongside the commissioner from Omala. The youth and leaders impressed their angst against Atabo on their leader, former governor Ibrahim Idris. Ibrahim Idris reportedly assured Omala youths and elders that he wont impose any candidate on them and this obviously played out in yesterday's primary election.
