Job description:

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a complete understanding, knowledge and commitment to the importance of HSE in the day to day activities. He must demonstrate safety awareness and show a duty of care for others around him. He must be a capable and willing team member.:  will be working within the QA/QC Unit of an onshore fabrication yard reporting to the Production Manager and will perform but not be limited to the following functions;

•   Carry out the project specific inspection and release as detailed in the Project Quality Plan and as directed and instructed by the Lead Quality Engineer/Inspection Co-ordinator.

•   Conduct Review, Witness and Monitor activities as per the approved Sub-contractors Quality Control Plans/ Inspection Test Plans and those of their appointed Sub-suppliers and Sub-contractors.

Prime responsibilities and duties:

•   Attend pre-inspection planning meetings/progress meetings.

•   Be familiar with the requisition requirements and package/equipment specifications and drawings.

•   Be familiar with the Sub-contractors Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans, processes and procedures.

•   Prepare and submit Sub-contractor weekly reports, including visits to their Sub-suppliers, etc.

•   Raise Non-conformances reports and expedite their close out.

•   Be fully aware of concessions raised, approved and/or reject by the requisitioning engineer.

•   Monitor package /equipment compliance to statutory regulations

•   Liaise with on-site Certification Authorities, Notified Body and other third parties.

•   Release package/equipment as per project inspection and release process (IRC).

•   Review Supplier/Subcontractor Fabrication/Certification Dossiers on an ongoing basis and prior to release.

•   Report promptly to the Lead Quality Engineer/Inspection Co-ordinator all matters related to inspection, test and release.

•   Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and retained in accordance with AMEC, client and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Education:- Engineering/Science Technician or Diplomate with knowledge of Lifting Equipment, Mechanical, Inspection, Metallurgy, Welding, and Fabrication.

Professional experience (total number of years):- 7 years' Operational experience in relevant Operation

•   ASNT Level II certified inspector and also DSI API Spec

•   ISO codes and standards (9001, 14001)

•   Recognized qualification in Lifting (eg NSL) and in basic NDT Techniques (ultrasonic; radiography; magnetic particle; dye penetrant inspection)

•   Fluent in English, written and spoken
