Job Title: Business Editor

Job Location: Abuja & Lagos, NIGERIA

Candidates for this position should possess the following attributes:

•   Flair for creative business reporting

•   Deep understanding of the money/capital markets.

•   Good understanding of the international financial system

•   Ability to tell the story with simple statistical tools.

•   Good networking ability

•   Aptitude for critical thinking

•   Ability to initiate and executive award-winning business stories

•   Team leader

Qualifications:

•   A good first degree in any discipline. Ten years experience on the business desk of a national daily newspaper, three of which must have been spent in a senior editorial position. An O'level credit pass in Mathematics is essential

•   Candidates for the advert department must be ready to work with a monthly target and should therefore have a wide network of contacts among corporate institutions and advertising agencies.

Requirements

•   All candidates must possess of minimum first degree in any discipline and be computer literate.

•   Must be fluent in English, self-driven, confident, have excellent written and oral communication skills and able to work in a highly dynamic environment.

•   Ability to speak more than one Nigerian language will be an additional advantage.
