Role – Marine Contract Manager (First language English/Anglophone, also Fluent in French)

Rotation – 10 week on / 3 week off

Salary: Total package – 80,000 Euros per annum broken down by:

•   5,000 Euros per month – Equiv 60,000 Euros per year

•   15% location coefficient when in country Equiv 6,750 Euros per year

•   10% Annual Bonus – Equiv 6,000 Euros per year

•   Living allowance paid locally in country Equiv 6,666 Euros per year

•   Full Medical Insurance paid

•   Accommodation provided in Lagos near the Office

My client is looking for a Marine Contract Manager to manage the contracts for one of their clients. Below is a profile of the ideal candidate. To apply English must be your 1st language and you must be fluent in French also.

An Officer/Master mariner or HNC/HND or a degree in a relevant subject such as construction, project management or engineering. This should be supported by proven experience in the offshore related industry. They may consider people having experience in the industry in other job areas such as project planning and surveying. They may also consider candidates from other industries with a background in project management and/or sales.

Health and safety issues will be a top priority in this role, as will managing client expectations. Important to be familiar with ISM requirements and industry SMS

The candidate could see negotiating sub-contract orders and monitoring sub-contractors, planning critical dates, or organizing labour. CM would also be responsible for agreeing extra work to be done on a contract, helping to resolve any disputes which come up, and identifying areas for improvement in your company's contracting processes

Candidate will need to understand all aspects of the contracting process, and technical client requirements, plus good commercial sense is a must. The Contract manager need to be able to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people. So he should be a team player using his own initiative and make own decisions as well.
