Kenyan striker, Francis Kahata has taken the time to discuss his stunning free kick which threatened to give the Harambee Stars a shock win over African champions, Nigeria on match day 3 of 2014 Fifa world cup qualifying.

The petite attacker curled a perfect free kick past a stunned Vincent Enyeama in the 36th minute of a tense contest at the UJ Esuene stadium, Calabar on Saturday as the East Africans took a shock lead against the African champions.

Kahata has now voiced his shock at scoring such a crucial goal against storied opposition at their fortress and confessed that he did not believe he would hit the target from 30 odd yards.

"Honestly, I did not see that (the goal) coming,"Kahata told supersport.com after the game.

Having watched his side surrender two points from a fantastic position in such heart breaking fashion, Ny is now trying to rally the troops as he believes the Harambee Stars can shock the Super Eagles in the return leg in June.

"I am not disappointed that we did not beat Nigeria (on Saturday). I believe we can beat them at home," he boasted.

The goal came to me as a shock also because i did not expect it to happen. The free kick was superb in my opinion. He did great
