Sellas Tetteh has guided Ghana's Under 20 side into the African Youth Championships semis, now he wants the cup itself. After ensuring qualification to the World Youth Championships as well, the coach wants a repeat of his 2009 victory.
.
"I think we've come a long way and we've worked very hard," he said on Monday.
.
Having been successful in Rwanda in 2009, Sellas is in a good position to know how to avoid the loopholes.
.
"We deserve to go a step ahead and we deserve to be in the final. We will give out our all and see how it goes."
.
His next match is against Mali on Tuesday. Having scouted the opposition Tetteh remains cautious of the threats.
.
"We did go and watch their [Mali's] game but you can't judge them by that performance because at the time they played that game, they had already qualified. So definitely, a wise coach will surely reserve his good players."
.
"So, yes, we've watched them. But that would not be a yardstick to judge their play very well.
.
Kickoff of the game is 4pm
