I Worked Hard For My Eagles Return - Oduamadi

Italy-based Super Eagles star, Nnamdi Oduamadi, has told Complete Sports how he made his return to the national team set-up after he was sidelined from being part of the party to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa due to injury.

The AS Varese of Italy player who scored the Super Eagles' equalizer in last Saturday's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya said he worked really hard to get the invitation just as he has also promised to do more.

"It was painful that I have to miss the Nations Cup due to the injury I had before the tournament but when it was over, I tried all my best to work hard for my return and I am happy that I am back in the team again."

"Now that I am back, my promise is that I will always do my best to help the team."

Speaking on the country's goal against Kenya which he scored, he said:

"This is my best moment and I am very happy to have scored that goal for my country, it was as important goal that came at the time it was needed and I thank God for using me to score such a goal."

He however assured that Nigeria will not miss the opportunity of being part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
