The role: Design, develop, test and supervise the acquisition and installation of electrical equipment, components or systems for the plant. They also perform other related support functions for the power plant operations and maintenance.

Functions:

•   Specify and select suitable electrical equipments and systems suitable for plant application

•   Conduct information sourcing, analysis, design and control for engineering requests and electrical engineering projects

•   Lead investigation and troubleshooting of electrical system faults and trips on the plant

•   Supervise electrical design staff in the layout out of duct banks, cable tray, conduit pipes, ground grids, lighting plans etc

•   Create design concepts and data to ensure technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements

•   Develop control schematics and installation designs

•   Design MCC & cable routing, evaluate HV/LV electrical systems

•   Coordinate with other departments and external parties on projects and assignments as required

•   Test control systems in generating stations and switchyard

•   Assess electrical equipments and systems to ascertain working condition, create reports and make recommendations for optimal operations

•   Design, specify and coordinate various electrical systems use

•   Develop technical bid tabulations to support the selection of major electrical equipment suppliers

•   Review technical vendor submissions for installation requirements

•   Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

•   Minimum of a 1st degree in Electrical Engineering

•   Minimum of 5 years experience in power plant operation and maintenance

•   Experience in HV, MV switchgears, substations maintenance; plant electrical equipment troubleshooting is also required

•   Electrical Maintenance skills
