Job Description:

•   Development of policies and programmes for the identification, assessment, controlling, monitoring and reporting of operational risk inherent in products, processes, systems and external events.

•   Develop structures/framework for the population of losses/loss events

•   Establishment of structures for the risk – based grading of Branches, SBUs and SRFs which

•   shall inform the deployment of resources, frequency of audit visits, and deployment of internal control personnel and determination of manning levels.

•   Putting necessary structures in place for a seamless roll out OpRisk Manager Software to the entire Bank, including Subsidiaries and Foreign branches (creation of Benchmarks, Sites and End users).

•   Establishment of processes for the validation of processes mapped including risk identification, severity assessment, frequency of occurrence and controls documented

Desired Skills & Experience:

•   First degree (MBA, MSC, MA, ML and/or Professional Qualifications compulsory)  

•   17 years relevant banking experience; 20 years non- banking but related experience

•   Proficiency in Credit Structuring

•   Relationship Management experience

•   Product Development

•   Good Personnel Management; Strategic Orientation; Strong Policy Development skills; Creativity; Fraud Detection & Control; Internal Comprehensive Capital Market Operations Skills; General multi Corporate Finance and Financial Strategy Skills; Fraud and Operational risk knowledge                                    

•   Comprehensive Credit Skills; Oral and written Communication Skills                                            

•   Conceptual Skills; Professional disposition, Strategy formulation & Business Awareness, Creativity & Innovation, Resource Management
