INEC Is Bracing Up For A Better Election In 2015

The director of Public Affairs for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Emmanuel Umeager, has admitted that the electoral body faced a lot of challenges in conducting the last general elections in 2011.

He noted that INEC has learnt its lessons now bracing up for a better election in the 2015.

Mr Umeager made this known while speaking on Channels Television's Saturday breakfast Show Sunrise, where he added that a committee has been set up by INEC to look into the conduct of the last elections.

The committee he claimed, has been working round the clock to see where the weaknesses were identified so that by the next general elections, the electoral body will be able to give Nigerians a free and fair election.
