Ogun State - Amosun Mourns Ekiti Deputy Governor

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has expressed profound shock and disbelief at the death of Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adunni Olayinka at the age of 52 years.The governor who condoled with the government and people of Ekiti State on her demise, recalled her struggle along side Governor Kayode Fayemi, during and after the 2007 gubernatorial election that produced the current administration in 2010.     In a press release signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mrs Funmi Wakama, Senator Amosun described the untimely death of Mrs Olayinka, as lamentable and a great loss to the government and people of Ekiti State. "She was a committed member of the Action Congress of Nigeria, who contributed immensely to the development of Ekiti State. She was also an embodiment of humility and selfless service. She will be sorely missed," the governor said.     Amosun prayed to God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and her family, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
