Job Description:

•   Foster awareness of HSE in all team members

•   Ensure the implementation of the company's Quality Management system. In conjunction with the Regional Quality Manager ensures that the overall Quality Management System (EMS) is maintained in line with ISO 9001 requirement

•   Be the Management representative and focal point on quality issues for the company. Prepare periodic quality report to top management. Report to Management Team at Management review meetings regarding  performance and effectiveness of the Quality Management system

•   Provide independent assessment of corporate, program and project quality relative to Plan and its overall effectiveness in achieving set objectives. Review and monitor corrective and preventive actions within the company and follow-up on external audit findings and any customer complaints

•   Provide strong leadership to the team

•   Coordinate the entire activities of Quality Assurance / Quality Control department of the company in line with the company's vision and mission including work and budget planning and implementation.

•   Support the continual development of the quality department personnel (career planning, promotions, lateral movement to gain additional competence, training and education, and other opportunities for personal development). Provide input to remuneration setting & review processes

•   Clearly communicate personnel resource requirements and specifications to HR function. Support pursuit teams and provide input to bids when requested.•   Staff projects with quality engineers

Job Requirements:

Job Specific Knowledge:

•   Has broad knowledge of Quality assurance and control practices in an engineering company

•   Knows proven techniques of process improvement required to sustain an effective quality management system

•   Must have received certification as a quality internal auditor and passed a lead quality auditors course. Certification in other quality related disciplines from recognised institutions may be accepted

•   A degree or it's equivalent in any engineering discipline or applied sciences registrable with the council of engineering in Nigeria (Either as a certified engineer or Engineering associate)

•   Must be conversant with quality management standards such as ISO

Industry Specific Experience:

•   Over 10 years of related work experience, 5 or more years of these in supervisory / managerial level

•   Have been involved as Project Quality Engineer/Quality manager in at least four different projects from current or previous employers.

•   Have demonstrated proficiency in providing support to project teams to improve the quality of project deliverables.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Degree in Engineering or applied Sciences registrable with COREN, Certified Quality Auditor, Membership of recognised Professional Quality Organization
