ANPP Sets Up Committee On Nat. Convention For Merger Plans

The national chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Dr Ogbonnaya Onu has reaffirmed the commitment of the party to the merger plan by opposition parties as the party accepted the merger report presented by Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau.

Addressing the national executive committee meeting of the party in Abuja on Thursday, Dr Onu said the planned merger is for the overall interest of Nigerians who have suffered untold hardship and severe deprivation.

The party also announced the constitution of its national convention committee made up of 23 members with Governor Abdulazeez Yari of Zamfara state as the chairman and honourable Emma Eneukwu as the secretary.

The party also announced the expulsion of Mallam Isah Bala who is the Bwari area council chairman of the party for alleging that can is hijacking the merger of opposition parties while advising the party to pull out of the all progressive congress.
