Aston Villa missed the chance to pull clear of the Premier League relegation zone Saturday as Fabian Delph's own goal in the second half gave Fulham a 1-1 draw.
.
Paul Lambert's side went ahead through Charles N'Zogbia in the 55th when he bent a shot into the left-hand corner. But the equaliser came in the 66th when Delph failed to clear a corner, flicking it backward with his head and past goalkeeper Brad Guzan.
.
Delph then missed a chance to atone for his mistake in the 73rd, blasting a loose ball at the back post high and wide.
.
Villa are three points ahead of 18th-place Wigan, but with two more games played.

To score an own goal is always a very painful thing to the affected footballer. Too bad that happened to Aston Villa
