Former Nigeria international, Tajudeen Disu, says the Golden Eaglets are desperate to reclaim the title they won in 2007Africa U-17 Championship held in Benin Republic, leading to their resolve to trounce Ghana 6-1 to begin their campaign on a resounding note at the ongoing championship holding Morocco.

"The Eaglets performance against Ghana was beyond expectations; they showed in that game their determination to win that title again with such wide margin score-line against Ghana's Starlets," Disu said in an interview.

"The players that I saw on Sunday are good materials for future assignments for the country. The way they played speaks volume of how desperate they are to repeat the feat of the 2007 edition".

"It is good to see the kind of spirit with which those boys played and that is kind of spirit you need to win any tournament. They are desperate t o repeat the feat to emerge champions and with what I saw, those boys will not disappoint."
