Schalke 04 announced on Wednesday their farewell match for ex-Spain striker Raul, against his Qatari club Al-Sadd, in Gelsenkirchen on July 27 has sold out.
.
The 35-year-old spent two seasons at Schalke and helped the Royal Blues reach the Champions League semifinals in 2011, before they lost to Manchester United.
.
All tickets for the "Gracias Raul!" farewell match have been sold with a capacity 61 000 crowd expected at Gelsenkirchen's Veltins Arena.
.
Raul, who made 102 appearances for Spain, won the Qatari title last weekend with his new club and is still a firm favourite at Schalke, with whom he won the German Cup in 2011.
.
He remains the top scorer in Real Madrid's history with 228 goals, having won six Spanish league and three Champions League titles with Real between 1994 and 2010.
