Job description: IT Specialists in this job role will be customer facing and must have deep technical skills in System x, Storage and modular systems. Skills required also include having firsthand knowledge of Windows, VMware and Linux based operating systems as well as IBM hardware management products. Typical examples of services delivered by the IT Specialist role include building proof-of-concept solutions using System x technology. They also include architecting and delivering on server based solutions to address client requirements. IT Specialists primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services and implementation environment.

Required:

•   Pre-University qualification

•   At least 5 years experience in Technical skills in System x, Modular systems and low to midrange storage solutions

•   At least 5 years experience in Technical skills in Windows, VMware or Linux.

•   At least 5 years experience in working with IBM ToolsCenter management products

•   At least 5 years experience in Customer interfacing

•   English: Fluent

Preferred:

•   At least 8 years experience in Technical skills in System x, Modular systems and low to midrange storage solutions

•   At least 8 years experience in Technical skills in Windows, VMware or Linux.

•   At least 8 years experience in working with IBM ToolsCenter management products

•   At least 8 years experience in Customer interfacing
