Department of Energy Conversion and Storage at the DTU is offering research position as assistant professor/researcher in Computational Electrochemistry for Sustainable Energy in Denmark. Applicants must possess a PhD degree or equivalent in physics, chemistry, engineering or materials science. Scholarship Description: Department of Energy Conversion and Storage at the Technical University of Denmark invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor / Researcher in atomic scale modeling of materials for electrochemical energy conversion and storage. DTU Energy Conversion is focusing on the development of new technologies and materials for energy conversion and storage, i.e. fuel and solar cells, membranes, magnetic refrigeration and thermoelectrics, electrolysis and sustainable synthetic fuels, and batteries.

Responsibilities and tasks :The assistant professor/researcher's tasks will be to strengthen the Department's competences in density functional theory and many-body perturbation theory level modeling of fundamental mechanisms and materials for energy conversion and storage, within electrocatalysis and synthetic fuel production, localized and exited states, and/or novel battery materials and technologies. The assistant professor/researcher will also supervise student projects and take part in teaching and dissemination of research findings and innovation, both scientifically and in the public domain. Another important task will be to attract external funding from public and private sources.
