CLUES have emerged on what the National Security Adviser, General Owoeye Andrew Azazi, discussed at a media chat with editors in Abuja on Wednesday.

Azazi spoke about crowd control at polling booths on election days, noting that a crowd of voters milling around could be an invitation to trouble-makers intent on causing mayhem. Any such mishap, especially at the early stages of the election, could scare voters away,  azazi warned.

Speaking to  The Guardian yesterday in Abuja, a State Security Service   (SSS) Director said, " these issues was not new to any agency involved in election preparations.

Meanwhile, criticisms have trailed Nasir el Rufai's statement attacking Azazi's comments about crowd control on election days.

The Electoral Act provides that voters should retreat to at least 300 metres from the voting booth,  after

voting  and observe proceedings if they so desire.
