EKITI STATE UNIVERSITY TO BECOME WORLD-CLASS INSTITUTION SOON .......EVANGELIST OLUMILUA

The Ekiti State University will soon realize its vision of becoming a world-class University in the 21st Century going by the tremendous transformation taking place in the university especially in the last one and a half year.   This observation was made by the Chancellor of the Ekiti State University, His Excellency, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua at the 18th Convocation Ceremonies of the University.   Evangelist Olumilua commended the Ekiti State government under the able leadership of Governor Kayode Fayemi for his effort at reshaping the state and giving education priority with special attention paid to the state owned university.   The EKSU Chancellor explained that the University and the Ekiti State government have continued to attract both local and international partners to upgrade the standard and quality of the university in performing her essential functions of Teaching, Research and Public Service.   Evangelist Olumilua commended the Governing Council and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oladipo Aina for the landmark achievements recorded in the internal security on campus and  the expansion of the frontiers of teaching, research and learning by prohibiting the sales of hand-outs in the university as students now read more and have limitless windows to knowledge.   He also described as novel the plan by the university to accommodate staff and about Ten Thousand Students on campus through the construction of hostels. Evangelist Olumilua said that all hands should be on desk to ensure the realization of these goals.
