Eligibility: To be eligible to receive the Zonta Mackay Scholarship an applicant must be:

-Female

-A graduate of the CQUniversity STEPS Program in the year prior to enrolling in a Bachelor Program at CQUniversity

-Entering into their 1st year of study in a Bachelor Program-

-Enrolled at CQUniversity at the time of Census Date

-Must not hold a trade qualification

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Australia can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The Zonta Club of Mackay will provide a scholarship to encourage and facilitate women graduating from the STEPS program in Mackay to continue on and undertake further tertiary study.

What does it cover? Total offer is of $1000.

Selection criteria: Each Applicant will be assessed based on and application form, supporting documentation and a written submission of no more than 500 words addressing the following criteria:

-Career Aspirations

-Community Awareness and Participation

-A need for financial assistance

Notification: A selection panel, consisting of representatives from Zonta Club Mackay Inc and CQUniversity will be formed to determine the successful applicant in each instance. A scholarship will only be offered where there is an applicant of sufficient merit.
