Nigerian industryThe federal government has set up a committee to develop an Integrated Industrial Policy for the nation. The policy is aimed at addressing the pitfalls on the road to industrialization, as the nation's industrial utilization has improved from 46 percent to 48 percent in 2012, an indication that better indices are achievable. The Minister of Trade and Investment; Olusegun Aganga who made this known in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital at the 6th national council on industry, trade and investment, said the government is already reversing its policies towards intense industrialization in areas where Nigeria has competitive advantage.
