NPFL Transfer Window: El-Kanemi Signs Six Players

El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri have signed Cameroonian striker Raphael Bonson along with five other new players in the transfer window of the Nigeria Professional Football League. According to the club chairman; Mohammed Zana the club decided to sign six players, five strikers and a central defender which he believes that with these new signings the team's performance will improve in their first season back in the top flight after several years in the lower league. "We have signed six players, five strikers and a central defender. There is a Cameroonian striker Raphael Bonson, who we signed from Chad,' disclosed Zana. "Captain Ejindu from Enyimba, Ibrahim Mustapha from our feeders' team. While there is Ebube Okpokwu from Akwa United as well as our returnee striker Ezekiel Thompson has been registered. "The only central defender among them is Amaechi Ayala from Lobi Stars. "We believe these players will improve our squad as we strive to do well as the season progresses." Zana said on their leading scorer Haruna Babalo who was speculated to be moving out of the club that there is nothing like that as nobody has contacted the club requesting for Babalo's services and that Babalo remains with El Kanemi, he is going nowhere.
