Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:  – Responsible for all financial accountability at the facility.    – Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory and the Warehouse report in to this position. – Responsible for utilizing communication techniques designed to develop a work environment that will foster inter- and intra departmental relationships, (team commitment) which result in effective accountability and problem solving.

Position Responsibilities:

•         Develop the budget for the Facility.  Audit and support the budget process w/plant management to ensure alignment.

•         Provide monthly/weekly analysis on plant performance.  Cost details, material usage standards, manufacturing standards, direct, fixed and variable costs.  Determine significant variances and areas for improvement.

•         Set up standards for all new products including labor, packaging material, ingredients, and overhead using the SAP system.  Support physical asset and inventory.

•         Support plant management with accounts payable issues.  Researching and identifying issues to ensure payment and accurate accounting.

•         Identify and report inventory write-offs on a monthly/weekly analysis.

•         Support the Plant TPM initiative through participation on the Site Steering Committee.

•         Provide direction and leadership for the plant scheduling and materials management group.

Challenges:

•         To ensure that all aspects of the financial reporting are completed timely, accurately and consistent with Unilever practices and policies.

•         Create and cultivate business relationships in multiple geographic sites.

•         Provide, manage and prioritize requests for cost analysis thus providing meaningful data to enable sound business decisions.

•         Have influence and persistence to get accurate information and support from co-workers that don't report to you.

•         Ensuring that the team operates within the established guidelines of the Safety Health, Environment and Quality committee as it relates to the position...

Relevant Experience:

•         Bachelor's Degree preferred

•         3 years of experience in finance, operations, or manufacturing.

•         Strong computer skills (Microsoft Access, Excel andWord) Knowledge of other accounting packages would be added advantage

•         Strong financial and analytical skills

•         Strong planning and organizing skills

•         Strong problem solving skills.
