Our client: Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading EPC Contractor to recruit a experienced Project Control Manager – Expatriate for its operations in Nigeria.

Job description:

•   The project control Manager will assist the Project Manager to complete a construction project on time and within the approved budget in compliance with the contract specifications.

•   This position requires a high level of skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to estimating and schedule management problems including knowledge of project development activities, project execution, risk management, construction management, and operating plant interfaces

Responsibilities:

•   Provides functional support of all project control activities in MDR with a focus on project cost control activities on a project.

•   Manage the Project Controls requirements, including Cost Estimating, Scheduling, Risk Assessments, Contract Strategy, Manpower Requirements, etc

•   Provides input to major project execution plans and control budgets.

•   Conducts periodic reviews of the forecast of major projects.

•   Provides functional oversight of project and management reporting as deemed appropriate or required.

•   Provides oversight of execution strategy's changes on key projects.

•   Ensures that Project Control deliverables are satisfied in a manner that aligns with the established guidelines, policies and procedures with regular audits to ensure compliance.

•   Ensures Project Cost Control Systems are implemented.

•   Design and set-up the most suitable and effective control organization on the project to meet these objectives in compliance with the contract specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

•   University Degree or Diploma;

•   A solid background in the oil & gas industry is required.

•   Minimum 6 years of experience in cost control in Oil & Gas sector;

•   Supervisory experience in a matrix environment and progressive field experience working for a contractor.

•   Must have experience working overseas.

•   Fluent written and spoken English and French would be appreciated

•   High degree of personal integrity.

•   Result driven, high energy level

•   Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities

•   Excellent problem solving ability and decision making skills
