Simon Fraser University announces The Bert Henry Memorial Graduate Entrance Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded for PhD students. The applicants applying for the scholarship must hold a Master's degree, or be in the process of completing a Master's degree, and planning to enter a Doctoral program at Simon Fraser University. The scholarship is currently valued at up to $18,000. One scholarship is awarded every two years subject to available funding.

Eligibility:To be eligible to apply, a student must hold a Master's degree, or be in the process of completing a Master's degree, and planning to enter a Doctoral program at Simon Fraser University. New students who began their graduate program in the current Spring term (January 1) are also eligible for consideration.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The Canadian students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: Departments nominate the strongest candidates for these entrance scholarships and forward their nomination form with a copy of the applicant's admission file to the Dean of Graduate Studies by February 15 of each year. The Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee will decide the most appropriate award (if any) for each applicant. Awards are made, after a University-wide adjudication, in early March for tenure in the following academic year.

Number of Awards: One scholarship is awarded.

Duration of Awards: The scholarship is offered for the period of 2 years.
