Two Nigerian Youngsters Join Moroka Swallows

Onwuka Michael and Okunade Wakeel have joined ABSA Premier League side, Moroka Swallows, increasing the number of Nigerian players at the South African club to four.

Michael and Wakeel, two of the most promising youngsters from Nigeria, are currently training with the Beautiful Birds first team but will be eligible to feature for their new club next season.

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Greg Etafia and Felix Obada are the two other Nigerians at the club.

Etafia has been at Swallows since 2003 and recently fought off the challenge of Aubrey Mathibe, to keep his number one shirt.

He will welcome a new rival in the tall and efficient Wakeel, who is desperate to make a name for himself at the club and claim the number one spot.

Michael who has had the privilege of training alongside one of the most fearsome strikers in the South African topflight, Siyabonga Nomvete, is also knocking on the door for first team opportunities. He is always eager to get on the scoring sheet and has the energy to terrorize defenders.
